Advent 2025 HOPE
Thank you, God, for the strength of nature in every season.
Chicago’s snowfall was over 8” on November 30.th It was the most snowfall in November in 51 years. I suspect the 8” in Rockford set the same record. It makes us think ahead as we move from one place to another. Perhaps as we slow down a bit to be safe, we will see things we sometimes miss.
Advent begins today. In the Christian faith, it is a time of waiting in hope and of contemplating what is to come. We live in difficult times, not knowing what tomorrow will bring. Help us bring kindness, love, and curiosity to each new day. The ancient saying is “the best defense against evil is to be better.”
Take HOPE with you this week. Remember, Hope is an action, no matter how small, that you take to make something better.
